Our Defense Services Division is comprised of leaders with operational military experience. We are focused on delivering impactful capabilities to the warfighter that are useful and usable. Rather than technology for technology’s sake, we are focused on delivering solutions that work in real life and that work with concepts of operation on the ground. Capabilities coupled with ease of use, quick setup, reliability, and small footprint are at the core of our mission.
Kevin Thompson is Mutualink’s Director, Defense & Federal Systems. His responsibilities focus on all aspects of business development, technical integrations, and customer service. Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Mutualink team. His professional career includes postings as the Director of Government Programs & Marketing at Tecore Networks, Business Development Manager with Trident Systems, US Sales Manager with Carling Technologies, and Regional Sales Manager with Jeppesen Marine (Boeing Co.).
Kevin has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and holds certifications with NMEA2000 (National Marine Electronics Association), CMET (Marine Electronics Technician), and MEI (Marine Electronics Installer).
Andrew Loader is the Field Director of Defense Services for Mutualink, Inc., based in the Washington, D.C Metro area. Andrew is responsible for leading the technical and network development, integration and implementation of Mutualink capabilities into Department of Defense (DoD), US and NATO Special Operations, and Coalition environments. Additionally, Andrew is in charge of field logistics, Mutualink DoD Information Assurance and Accreditation (IAA) efforts, and is the acting Facility Security Officer (FSO).
For the past 12 years, Andrew has been serving as an Information Technology Specialist in the Ohio Army National Guard’s 174th Air Defense Brigade, responsible for network systems administration and connectivity, as well as satellite and radio communications systems operation. As a contractor, Andrew has been the technical lead for deployed teams working with DoD agencies, US and NATO Special Operations, US Military, and Coalition partners for the past 5 years. His responsibilities have included the integration, operation, and training of airborne Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Signals Intelligence (SI) systems, and Full-Motion Video (FMV) network receiving systems throughout various areas of operation. Most recently, Andrew specialized in the development, integration, and fielding of advanced network communications and data systems for US Special Operations and Intelligence Community organizations throughout the globe.
Andrew’s current mission is assisting in bridging the interoperability communications gap that exists between DoD agencies, US Military, and Coalition nations by working closely with these partners to offer a solution that is low form-factor, efficient, tactically sound, and affordable.
Andrew speaks English and a little bit of German.
Brad Lloyd is the Federal & Defense Systems Executive for Mutualink’s Defense Services Division. Brad is responsible for transforming the customer’s vision into reality. His extensive expertise in small unit tactics is ideal for creating, articulating, and demonstrating concept of operations for specialized military and law enforcement elements.
Brad has 11 years of Special Operations experience as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller – Evaluator/Instructor with the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). During this period his duties included planning, advising, and assisting the Commander on numerous missions in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Brad is also skilled in the inter-agency coordination process and has directed fires from a wide variety of surface and airborne platforms to include manned, unmanned, fixed wing, rotary wing, attack, reconnaissance, and surveillance assets.
Brad’s personal awards include the Combat Action Badge, three Bronze Star Medals, Army Commendation Medal with Valor Device, Joint Service Commendation Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and three Army Achievement Medals. Brad is a graduate of the US Army Airborne, Ranger, and Jumpmaster Schools.
Brad earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ball State University and has a limited working proficiency in Spanish. He was the Savannah Chapter President of the Stop Soldier Suicide – a military support organization – and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration.
Joe Mazzarella, S.V.P. of Mutualink, is the senior executive responsible for the oversight and management of the Defense Services Division.
He has been directly involved in developing and building the Mutualink defense team and product capability offerings.
