Greg was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and now lives in New Braunfels, Texas. A career law enforcement officer specializing in school safety, he joined Mutualink from the Texas School Safety Center, where he worked with a team to develop emergency management templates that school districts, charter schools, and Junior Colleges could utilize to create their own Emergency Operations Plans.

Grant Opportunity:
FY2024 Non-Profit Security Grant Program (NSGP) –
National Security Supplemental (NSS).

In June, Congress allocated additional funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program, providing an extra $210 million to enhance physical security measures for nonprofit organizations identified as high-risk for terrorist or extremist attacks. FEMA released a Supplemental Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) on October 28, 2024. The application window opened on October 29, 2024, and closes on November 19, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Applications are now open through the Texas Public Safety Office (PSO) eGrants portal.

Eligible Funding Uses:
Allowable costs are focused on target hardening and physical security enhancements. Funding can be used for the acquisition and installation of security equipment on real property (including buildings and improvements) owned or leased by the nonprofit organization, specifically in prevention of and/or protection against the risk of a terrorist attack. This equipment is limited to select items on the Authorized Equipment List (AEL).

How to Request Funding for Mutualink:
