We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, managing highly technical communications projects in Public Safety and Educational industries.  Reporting to the Sr. Director of Field Operations, the Project Manager will manage the day-to-day tasks of Mutualink projects. These projects can be simple one location projects to full statewide deployments of Mutualink products.  Tracking and reporting progress and any blocking issues will be vital.

Job Location: Wallingford, CT

Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package (Health, Vision, Dental and Group Life Insurance, 401K Plan & Match, PTO, and Holiday Pay), a great team to work with and a mission that you can be part of that will absolutely make a difference. The annual salary range for this position is $75,000-$125,000 based on an individual’s overall qualifications, experience, skill level, geography, expertise, and education/training at time of hire.  Promotional and advancement opportunities are available to reach top pay.  This pay range can be modified at any time at the sole discretion of the Company and does not include variable, performance-based compensation which can be applicable. If applicable, commission earnings are variable depending on sales performance against revenue quota.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Track project costs
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Used or have used CRMs such as Salesforce
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to quickly grasp new products and technologies.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • 4-year college degree is preferred.
  • Military or Public Safety experience a plus
  • Customer service skills (Friendly, Responsive and Helpful)
  • Self Starter needs little supervision
  • Willing to work closely with sales, operation, support and engineering personnel (for travel, as may be necessary)
