We are currently seeking an IT & Development Operations Manager to lead the department at our engineering facility in Westford, MA, and be part of our innovative and dynamic team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, training and coordination for the IT/Infrastructure/Dev Ops Team to deliver high quality, timely service for internal customers
  • Oversee and improve DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development procedures used by development and operations teams
  • Actively participate in the evaluation and purchase of third-party hardware and software products supporting the team’s mission
  • Work collaboratively in a cross functional team including Software Development, SQA, Customer Support, Field Operations, and Sales
  • Continuously improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results
  • Refine the use of support tools and improve best practices knowledge base
  • Improve training and ongoing career development for team members
  • Manage schedule for on-call/after-hours support of product infrastructure
  • Oversee hiring, on-boarding and coaching of new team members

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of IT/Infrastructure/DevOps management
  • 7+ years of experience as IT/Infrastructure/DevOps staff
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-vendor and remotely deployed computing and networking systems
  • Practical knowledge of technologies including:
    • Virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, Xen and KVM
    • Containerization technologies including Docker
    • Building and administering multi-site Windows domains including AD LDAP services, AD Site Topology, shell scripting, group policy and event log analysis
    • The Linux operating system including commands, utilities, configuration, and networking
    • IP networks and network protocols; especially the ability to troubleshoot network problems and communication issues
    • Bash, Perl, and Tcl/Expect scripting languages
    • Database/data store technologies including MariaDB, Galera, Redis, and Gluster
    • Identity and Access Management technologies and solutions including Active Directory, LDAP, ForgeRock, and SailPoint
    • Configuration automation tools including Ansible
    • Reporting and monitoring tools including Splunk, ELK Stack, and Nagios
  • Experience supporting Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and IP video systems is highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on calm interactions under pressure
