Director of Marketing & Communications

Reporting directly to senior management, as the Senior Marketing Executive you will be an integral member of our management team, working closely with your colleagues to develop an integrated marketing and communications strategy, and will provide leadership and support in its execution and delivery.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and implementation of a strategic marketing and communications plan and annual communications calendar to support, integrate, and manage the brand and B2B business development and other sales activities and customer services
  • Provides oversight for all Mutualink communications, ensuring credibility through the consistent delivery of appropriate, timely, accurate, and fluent delivery of information relevant to our community partners, stakeholders and customers. Digital delivery and measurements are essential communications components
  • Serves as expert advisor to the organization in managing and promoting Mutualink’s brand identity
  • Participates in research, content development, and production of communications, as appropriate
  • Implements a project management structure for major marketing and communications projects, including establishment of timelines, assignment of responsibilities, monitoring of progress against plan, and periodic status reporting
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive media relations program to increase Mutualink’s visibility and position in the market as a credible source on public safety/communications
  • Engages and manages external creative and production resources, as appropriate, in accordance with established budgets and guidelines
  • Continually assesses the effectiveness of all marketing, communications, promotion, and public relations activities
  • Develop an in depth understanding of Mutualink’s products, its markets, customer needs, and key market issues facing B2B business development
  • Establish a foundation of trust and credibility with the senior leadership team, key external stakeholders and other market decision-makers and coalition groups
  • Lead the development and implementation of a strategic marketing and communications plan and annual communications calendar to support, integrate, and manage business initiatives
  • Execute upon a marketing agenda design to help accelerate and expand sales volume and velocity with measurable objectives


The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, confident, and highly motivated marketing and communications professional. They will bring a track record of high performance, will project a positive professional presence, and demonstrate excellent communications and interpersonal skills.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of high-level marketing and/or communications experience
  • Technology experience in multimedia and interactive communications with specific experience in advanced video conferencing, VoIP, two-way radio, technologies (radio, telephone, data and video), IoT, or data fusion and sharing highly desired
  • Public safety, emergency management or similar solutions or technology marketing experience a plus

Salary & Benefits:
