Business Development Representative

Mutualink’s Business Development Team is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative with a strong track record meeting/exceeding sales goals.

What you will do in this position:

  • Develop annual sales plan in support of organization strategy and objectives
  • Develop sales strategies and routes to market for the BD and CSE groups
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State level sales and purchasing cycles
  • Base knowledge of grant opportunities within the territory
  • Direct implementation and execution of sales strategies, policies and practices
  • Ensure communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with VP of Sales
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses
  • Implement approved distribution strategies
  • Manage multiple channel selling strategies
  • Help develop and manage Client Solution Executive (CSE) opportunities to carry out needed sales initiatives
  • Daily management of sales activities and coordinate with other departments, as needed
  • Provide tactical support for CSEs, including performing all regular BD duties as backup
  • Track and maintain details of performance to target, commission attainment, etc.
  • Envision and execute training and development programs for technical sales teams
  • Coordinate and approve BD plans for individual sectors and partners
  • Represent the concerns and needs of the BD partners, and customers by actively participating in the Sales Management Team’s decision-making on overall corporate and global strategies
  • Address cross-regional sales situations by collaborating closely with fellow BD and CSE partners
  • Represent Group needs in product development discussions and processes
  • Provide relevant feedback to executive management regarding specific needs of regional staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you need to succeed in this position:

  • 7+ years related experience
  • BA or BS (college graduate), preferred
  • Previous technical sales experience
  • Strong working knowledge of communications systems
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge of industry competition and company products
  • Demonstrated experience in leading sales activities in the government and SLED sectors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and overall PC business use
  • Ability to travel 50% -75% of the time
  • Able to obtain a minimum secret security clearance

Job level assignment and associated compensation are determined based on the Company’s assessment and evaluation of a candidate’s overall qualifications and experience in accordance with its policies.
