Mutualink is looking for an accounting assistant whose responsibilities will incorporate all aspects of the business cycle including sales administration, logistics and purchasing. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of basic accounting functions such as accrual accounting of the purchase and sales cycle and its interconnectivity to AR, AP, inventory, and cost of goods sold. The candidate should be proactive in investigating and resolving differences identified during posting processes and be able to prepare adjusting journal entries when necessary. Also be able to recommend and implement broader solutions to reduce discrepancies on the front end. Data entry and some filing will be required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
Flexibility to accomplish assigned tasks from all aspects of business
Ability to work independently and problem solve on the fly
Experience with Excel and some or all of the following: Great Plains Dynamics, MS Access, Crystal Reports and SalesForce
Ability to navigate unfamiliar software systems
Basic understanding of database structure and use of multiple data sources
Experience with sales and use tax state filings
Good written and verbal communication skills
Organizational and prioritization skills
