Quick Views

Using Quick Views creates data layers that can be saved, selected, and brought into full view. Quick View stores all layers in the view at the time the view was stored and allows you to instantly switch to any stored map views. Quick Views allows you to import or create a new view to share maps with others.

  1. Click Quick View. The New View drop-down appears.
  2. Click +. The New View window appears.
  3. In the field under New View enter the name of the view.
  4. The naming convention for the view name should be descriptive. Naming cannot be duplicated and has a limit on name length. Special characters are not allowed in naming a view.

  5. Hit Enter or click Save. The newly created view appears.

Once the view is saved it appears in three locations

  • Under the Quick Views tab on the toolbar
  • At the bottom of the map as a thumbnail
  • At the bottom of the Map Inset (if selected) window.

When you select a Quick View from either the pull-down menu or one of the thumbnails, the map automatically sends the map to that view.
