Michael Wengrovitz is Mutualink’s Vice President of Innovation. Dr. Wengrovitz joined Mutualink in 2012.

Mark Hatten – CEO/Chairman

Mark Hatten has more than 35 years of experience in building businesses in the telecommunications, electronics and enterprise software industries. Mr. Hatten brings a track record of success, and an in-depth understanding of both service and technology companies.

Mr. Hatten founded and was Chief Executive Officer of SmartLink Radio Networks Inc., a company engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of land mobile radio (LMR) networking technology used in public safety and in critical infrastructure. SmartLink has installed more than 90 systems throughout the world. SmartLink was acquired in April 2007.

Additionally, he was a founder and is a Board Member of both Travel Sciences, Inc., a software application developer for the travel industry and IM Interactive Corp., a technology company that specializes in commercial instant messaging.

Mr. Hatten was the Chairman/CEO of KSI Inc., an E-911 location company. KSI was awarded several patents for the angle of arrival method of location by triangulation of cellular telephones. In 2000, KSI was sold to TruePosition, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liberty Media.

Prior to KSI, Mr. Hatten founded Connecticut Telephone & Communications Systems, Inc. and was its Chairman and CEO until the company was acquired in 1998.

Mr. Mazzarella also has in-depth knowledge and experience in the high tech sector, ranging from consumer and enterprise based software development, advanced wireless network and location technologies, and communications. He also serves as a member of Mutualink’s Board of Directors.

Prior to Mutualink, Mr. Mazzarella served as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Connecticut Telephone and, thereafter, as its President. Mr. Mazzarella also served as a board member of KSI, Inc., a mobile location technology company which was subsequently acquired by TruePosition, Inc., a Liberty Media company and served as shareholder class representative. Mr. Mazzarella started his career as a corporate attorney with the regional law firm of Cummings & Lockwood (k/n/a McCarter & English) and his experience includes private equity and syndication, financing, intellectual property and licensing, M&A, and telecommunications law. His notable accomplishments include assisting with formation and financing of the NFL expansion franchise, Jacksonville Jaguars and Alltel Stadium financing, structuring the sale of Connecticut’s only zoo, forging new case law on the foreclosure of developer rights, and pioneering the first competitive local exchange carrier license in Connecticut.

Joe Boucher – Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Boucher has been responsible for the development of the Mutualink Interoperability system. He has over 16 years experience in telecommunications research and development, with 12 years of that focused on cutting-edge voice communications; he also holds several key Voice-over-IP (VoIP) patents.

From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Boucher was responsible for developing the VoIP-over-WLAN infrastructure for Meru Networks, a global leader in wireless data and voice networks. He also directed the development of Meru’s first 802.11 access point, a pioneering breakthrough in enabling Quality-of-Service on standard wireless networks.

From 1995 to 2002, Mr. Boucher was the System Architect and Chief Engineer at Jetstream Communications. In this role, he led the development of the world’s first Voice-over-Broadband product, the CPX-1000. This product was a carrier-grade, highly-available server that provided Voice-over-DSL (VoDSL) telephony service for up to 2,000 customers.

Prior to Jetstream, Mr. Boucher developed voicemail products for Octel Communications (acquired by Lucent/Avaya).

Mr. Boucher received his BSEE in Computer Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Mr. Boucher has been responsible for the development of the Mutualink Interoperability system. He has over 16 years experience in telecommunications research and development, with 12 years of that focused on cutting-edge voice communications; he also holds several key Voice-over-IP (VoIP) patents.

From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Boucher was responsible for developing the VoIP-over-WLAN infrastructure for Meru Networks, a global leader in wireless data and voice networks. Dave is responsible for Product Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Support and Datacenter/Network Operations at Mutualink.  Dave has over 25 years of experience leading research and development teams. Prior to joining Mutualink, Dave held the position of Executive Vice President of Operations and Product Development at Taqua, developing next generation wireline and wireless products. Prior to Taqua, Dave worked at Tekelec, Lucent Technologies, Cadre Technologies and AT&T Bell Labs where he held a broad range of executive, management and engineering roles. Dave brings a wealth of experience in software design and methodologies, and is an expert in application of Theory of Constraints to product development. David holds a BS in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and an MS with honors in Computer Science from the University of Kansas.

Dr. Wengrovitz joined Mutualink in 2012. For 13 years prior to Mutualink he was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Alcatel-Lucent. Previously, he managed the Professional Products Electronics Group at Bose Corporation, and was Director of Acoustic Systems at Atlantic Aerospace Electronics Corporation.

Dr. Wengrovitz is responsible for system and product innovation building upon Mutualink’s core platform and network. Current areas of focus and product development include IoT, advanced integrations, video/voice/data collaboration systems, advanced wired/wireless networking, sensors, and wearables.
