Mark Hatten – CEO/Chairman

Mark Hatten is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mutualink, Inc. He assumed this role after founding the company in 2006.

As CEO, Mark leads the Executive Team, whose mission is to deliver a nationwide interoperable network for first responders and emergency management professionals in the public and private sectors. Under his leadership, Mutualink is enabling its customer base to securely collaborate during emergencies, sharing voice, video and data for enhanced situational awareness.

Mark has more than 40 years of leadership and business building experience in the telecommunications, electronics and enterprise software industries. Mr. Hatten brings a track record of success, and an in-depth understanding of both service and technology companies.

As founder and Chief Executive Officer of his previous company, SmartLink Radio Networks Inc., Mark led the company’s development, manufacture and sale of land mobile radio (LMR) interoperable networking technology. SmartLink was acquired in 2007. Prior to SmartLink, Mark was a founding member, Chairman and CEO of KSI Inc. a technology company that patented and developed cellular location technology. KSI was acquired by Liberty Media in 2001. Mr. Hatten’s entrepreneurial journey began when he founded Connecticut Telephone, which was acquired in 1998.

In addition to Mutualink, Mark is also a founder and Chairman of Travel Sciences, Inc., a software application developer for the travel and parking industries.

In that role, Colin and his team of engineering and sales professionals addressed the radio communications needs of the public safety community. Previously, he served as CEO of Viasource Communications, a broadband deployment company with 2,500 service technicians throughout the United States. Before Viasource, Colin served as president of Connecticut Telephone.

Colin’s professional affiliations include service on the Board of Directors of the National Wireless Resellers Association, the Telecommunication Resellers Association and the advisory board of the Clean Energy Fund.

He also serves as a member of Mutualink’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Mazzarella also currently serves as the CEO of Travel Sciences, Inc., a software development company focused on the travel sector, and is an advisor to Left Brain Games, Inc., an interactive game development company. Prior to Mutualink, Mr. Mazzarella served as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Connecticut Telephone and, thereafter, as its president. Joe Boucher – Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Boucher has been responsible for the development of the Mutualink Interoperability system. He has over 16 years experience in telecommunications research and development, with 12 years of that focused on cutting-edge voice communications; he also holds several key Voice-over-IP (VoIP) patents.

From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Boucher was responsible for developing the VoIP-over-WLAN infrastructure for Meru Networks, a global leader in wireless data and voice networks. He also directed the development of Meru’s first 802.11 access point, a pioneering breakthrough in enabling Quality-of-Service on standard wireless networks.

From 1995 to 2002, Mr. Boucher was the System Architect and Chief Engineer at Jetstream Communications. In this role, he led the development of the world’s first Voice-over-Broadband product, the CPX-1000. This product was a carrier-grade, highly-available server that provided Voice-over-DSL (VoDSL) telephony service for up to 2,000 customers.

Prior to Jetstream, Mr. Boucher developed voicemail products for Octel Communications (acquired by Lucent/Avaya).

Mr. Boucher received his BSEE in Computer Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Mr. Boucher has been responsible for the development of the Mutualink Interoperability system. He has over 16 years experience in telecommunications research and development, with 12 years of that focused on cutting-edge voice communications; he also holds several key Voice-over-IP (VoIP) patents.

From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Boucher was responsible for developing the VoIP-over-WLAN infrastructure for Meru Networks, a global leader in wireless data and voice networks. Dr. Wengrovitz joined Mutualink in 2012. For 13 years prior to Mutualink he was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Alcatel-Lucent. Previously, he managed the Professional Products Electronics Group at Bose Corporation, and was Director of Acoustic Systems at Atlantic Aerospace Electronics Corporation.

Dr. Wengrovitz is responsible for system and product innovation building upon Mutualink’s core platform and network. Current areas of focus and product development include IoT, advanced integrations, video/voice/data collaboration systems, advanced wired/wireless networking, sensors, and wearables.
